DVDs on DELERUE, HERRMANN, TAKEMITSU

Three documentary DVDs about the above mentioned composers will be released in September. I only just noticed this on

See http://www.screenarchives.com (just see the most recent news item)

P.S.: As far as I can see, this "Music FOR the Movies" series must not be confused with the "Music FROM the Movies" magazine and website.

Very interesting news, Urs. Thanks for the info!

PS: I've just learned, that these have been aired by ARTE sometime ago. The american
publisher of these DVDs is Kultur Films.

I taped the Delerue documentary off of Bravo a while back. It was sheer joy to watch the master in action and to hear loving tributes from directors with whom Georges Delerue had worked with.

Great news!

Does anybody know what Zone are these DVDs? I am from Europe and would be interested if they were Zone 2 (or 0, for all zones).

Angel

Angel, according to Amazon.com and even Kultur's official website all three seem to be zone 1.

I stumbled on this which is zone 2 though... I don't know if it is the same Bernard Herrmann DVD.

Thanks Serifiot.

Yes, these DVDs are Zone 1.

And yes, the same Bernard Herrmann documentary was also released in France as a Zone 2 DVD, with better cover art and French subtitles, although it is slightly more expensive.

Greetings,
Angel
