Questions about a Gianni Ferrio score?
Hello,
Can anyone please give me their opinion of the 1973 score "Mysterious Island of Captain Nemo" composed by Gianni Ferrio? Also does this Tsunami cd release have good sound quality? Thank you
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

The sound is ok,for the time it was recorded (I'm listening to it now - lush strings,Chior,Edda, maybe). So I think I'll say the sound is quite decent.

It's a pretty good score. Beautiful and haunting main theme with some interesting variations. The overall score is really varied in style. You can find a little bit of everything. The music is far better than the movie, which was condensed from a Spanish TV series I watched when I was a child... Fond memories indeed.
On the other hand, I think the sound quality of the Tsunami CD is good, according to the standards of 1972, the year in which the score was recorded. If you are an aficionado to italian movie music, you will be happy to purchase this CD.
Best greetings,
