INTRADA'S NEWEST RELEASE
I don't usually do this but...
I reckon, because of the recent spate of North's releases, the next Intrada release is going to be Spartacus 2 CD.
Would one care to express an opinion?

Hello Taz,
I already posted this question about the Intrada August 7th release :) --(Posted July 22) I also picked "Spartacus" as one of my guesses.

That would be a miracle... if not (almost) impossible,
if Intrada can do that, they will be THE major
filmmusic label in my book. It's not entirely
unthinkable, Intrada is after all the company
that managed to release the original rejected 2001 recording,
and 6 cd's full of Amazing Stories scores and that's just
a small part of their efforts in their last remarkable year.
p.s. my vote goes to "Wind and the Lion" (mentioned by a lot of people)
and it seems to me a less "impossible" candidate, and a gem in it's own right.
But don't get me wrong... I would jump for joy when they would announce Spartacus.

Mmmmm.... SPARTACUS is from Universal, and this makes the task of releasing a complete double CD really hard and improbable. I wish it could be possible...
I think THE WIND AND THE LION could be more realistic as a monumental release from Intrada. I've been hearing a lot of rumours about it during the last months. But Douglass Fake speaks about more than two hours of music, and THE WIND AND THE LION hardly reached two hours...
Whatever will be what Intrada is going to release, I'm pretty sure it will be great! May be by Goldsmith, Bernstein, North... These guys are among Intrada's favourite composers, aren't they?
Cheers,
Angel

Could it be a 2-CD set of Bernstein's THE BLACK CAULDRON? The original LP/CD presentation by Varèse on the first disc (which, I believe, was a re-recording) and the other disc the complete, original soundtrack recording in remastered sound...
Cheers,

My Apologies David.
I just got a wee bit excited as Intrada have discovered North gems and got maybe a little carried away. I'll be sure to take note next time as I know how the community here dont like repeats of questions or ideas posed previously. Still I know it will be massive. It could be the Alien 2CD he (Doug) mentioned earlier in the year I think around April Fools Day.
Or was he indeed just fooling!?

Hello Taz,
No need for an apology, I mentioned my July 22nd post in case you wanted to check out the answers I received on the same question. Also I wanted to let you know that you and I had the same idea that the release might be "Spartacus". Great minds think alike? something like that :)
Is there any chance the 2cd release could be "The Ten Commandments" , "Lawrence of Arabia" or "El Cid"? These are some of the other scores I was thinking of. Alot of collectors are saying "The Wind and the Lion", That would be fine with me, I think that is one of Goldsmith's best. Take care
Best Regards,

I though the rights to Wind and the Lion have reverted back to the studio. If we are to believe what is being written over at FSM, it might be Masada.
