Jaques Loussier in LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR?
Hallo.
Yesterday ive saw the great LOOING FOR Mr. GOODBAR in TV again.
In one scene, Keatons`s teacher (and lover) put a record in a player and you hear a jazz version of an choral of Bach (its the scene, where Diane Keaton visiting her teacher in his flat, nearly in the beginning of the film).
For me, that Bach track sounds like an interpretation of Jaques Loussier, but I couldnt find THIS special great version on none of his albums.
Does anybody knows, if that Bach choral was a pre-existed version (interpreted by Loussier or someone else),or was it recorded for the movie?
It hunts me, since I have heart it first and in my oppinion, its the best jazz interpretation of that song (more superior than all versions you can find on the regular Loussier albums).
But where I can find it?
By the way:I allway think, that it was a shame, that the existing soundtrack LP contains so few of the great original music of Artie Kane.
For 99% it just contains Pop-Songs (there are also great, but to find them, I dont need a soundtrack LP, I could buy a LP by Donna Summer and the rest of the folks).
If someone could help me, it would be grat.
Best whishes,
Jörn

I have a feeling it was a recorded song by someone else.
