Soundtrack for my own foto-show
hello there,
right now i am trying to create a foto-show, or if you want a little film about a holiday trip i've made with a group this summer.
This piece of work is laid under by several songs but i am looking for some kind of soundtrack to start.
The last film i made started with the theme from pirates of the caribbean and what i need right now is something "big" like that. I try to remember scenes in movies where you sit in your chair and just said wow because the soundtrack was just overwhelming and made you feel twice as big as you are.
Any ideas will help me out of my lack of creativity!
Thank you
Thomas

The overture from Battle Of The Bulge, Main Titles from Lawrence of Arabia, Overture from Grand Prix, Fight at Kobe Dock (You Only Live Twice), The Fire Dragon (The 13th Warrior), Main Titles from Jason & The Argonauts. C'mon, anybody else help this guy out!?

Why not the Overture from HOOK by John Williams. It's a great entrance.

here are a few suggestions,
but I think you'll have to have very "big" pictures
to fit this kind of music ;-))
The Brigde Of Khazad Dum - Lord of the Rings 1 (Shore)
Wheatfield - Twister (Mancina)
Main Title - The Sea Hawk (Korngold)
Main Title - Captain Blood (Korngold)
The Parachutes - Air Force One (Goldsmith)
O Fortuna - Carmina Burana (Orff)
The Flag Parade - Star Wars 1: The Phantom Menace (Willams)
Fanfare / Coronation - El Cid (Rozsa)
Main Title - Tai-Pan (Jarre)
Prelude - Sunset Boulevard (Waxman)

"Damn The Defiant!"
Whenever I've listened to that score I've always felt like jumping up and screaming... "Goddamn The Defiant!", and kick the coffee table across the room. It's so full of action and excitement it makes a person feel like going out and kicking someone's ass.

@ knives
if "Damn The Defiant!" does that to you , it should be examined,
like playing it backwards, maybe there are some messages hidden in the music!
