The top ten film score list shows what sort of morons work for CNN.
Anyone who believes "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" belongs at #2 on a top ten list directly below Singin' In The Rain"
hasn't listened to much film music.
I'd bet a lot of people here could put together a better top ten.

Hi Workingwithknives, I think CNN was refering to the best known themes from films, everybody knows Singin in the rain and also The good, the bad and the ugly. In my memory White christmas was number one.
It has nothing to do with best filmmusic. We know better ;-)

I wasn't crazy about both of those ridiculous lists myself anyway but I submitted the links for the fun of it.
Not to imply that they are bad, but all these commercially successful/popular titles mentioned are basically so widely known and meant for the masses who are more or less in complete darkness and couldn't care less about film music, and not for the discerning film music devoted listener and collector.
