Question

Who is the Spongebob TV composer??

I have loved the SB music from the TV show ever since it first came on. I watch it all the time and have hoped for a release. To solve my despair, I thought (in answer to my other recent post titled "Cartoon TV Show Scores") that I could check out the website for the composer. But when I looked on IMDb for his/her name, there was one problem....

There were 3 people listed!! (One of wich I know is a band) They are:
The Blue Hawaiians
Bradley Carow
Jeremy Wakefeild
Now who did the score for the show?? I have a feeling it's Jeremy Wakefeild.

Take a look yourself:

"Hurry up, reel it in, SpongeBob! Can't you hear the music? That's a 4/4 ostinato in D-minor! Every sailor knows that means death!"

I'm surprised they list ONLY three music credits. My impression is that everyone ever to have served on the writing staff, as well as various cast, producers, directors, and editors (Bradley Carow) have had a hand in the music (at least songs).

Blue Hawaiians have a MySpace page.

Jeremy Wakefield is selling a couple discs through CDbaby, one an instrumental album of solo guitar, the other with his band The Lucky Stars. These may not be the kind of licks you're listening for, but the good news is there's a fair chance whatever caught your ear wasn't even original. Scope the Wikipedia writeup for the show (subsection for music).

Narholz has a website. No clips yet, neither are any on his agency's site. Promotional discs from First Artists Mgmt. ARE known to exist, as of course are library music discs. Good luck hunting THOSE, but if you have the connections, and the aim, here is your (astonishingly complete) field guide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_of_SpongeBob_SquarePants

Happy Safari.
