Bes love theme in a HORROR score?

It seems sometimes the best love/emotional/poignant themes are ones that, ironically, are featured in horror films.

For example, the "Trish & Darry Theme" from Jeepers Creepers is one of the most heart-rending, touching themes I've ever heard, (and I've heard all the "essentials" of the drama genre). Seriously, it's that beautiful.
Another recent example would have to be the score to "The Descent" by the otherwise somewhat mundane composer David Julyan. His emotional undertow he created with that score is what made the film so effective, because you wouldn't expect to hear such rich orchestral colors in a film like that (especially the BRILLIANT music during the escape scene near the end).
Also, composer Richard Band, who's career went nowhere after the 1980's, wrote some truly beautiful themes for some really awful films including "Mutant", "The Alchemist", "Ghost Warrior", "Troll", "From Beyond", "House on Sorrority Row", to name but a few (my favorite score of his, "Mutant", is being re-released by Preservance sometime soon).

What I love about poignant/sad/beautiful scores in horror films is that they add an air of class and respectability to what may otherwise be a mundane or campy production (or, in the case of good horror films like "The Descent", they add an air of richness to the already-strong imagery at hand).

Note of course, the score doesn't have to belong to a GOOD or even well-known horror film.
Any thoughts out there? Preferably something really OBSCURE that ?

Response to Best love theme in a HORROR score?

"The Day After Halloween" (aka Snapshot) from composer Brian May is an unusually beautiful score for a horror film.

I like the sort of stuff Pino Donaggio does for the DePalma films. "Dressed To Kill" with the opening titles of Angie Dickinson in the shower seems almost sad.

I wasn't sad enough not to watch it though, I'll tell ya that right now.
