24 soundtrack
Hi soundtrack fans.
This is a querie about the soundtrack for the series '24' starring Keither Sutherland. I am aware that there are two types of CD. The first is in regards the music from series 1-3 and the second CD is in regards series 4-5. I am enquiring about the first CD series 1-3.
I have noticed through research that there are a few versions of the CD I am seeking. One of these CD's has 25 tracks on (more than the others) and for this reason it is obviously the want I want. However it appears it is Japenese and is harder and more costly to locate. The extra track on this CD is called 'Gunman for breakfast' ............is it worth the extra cost to get this one theme/song??..........where was this theme in the series?
Where can I get the Japenese CD if I decide to get it?
Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks. Roy

I bought the European edition (EMI label) for 4 €.
It's an entertaining score which runs over 63 minutes (24 tracks) and already features a bit too much, like the Armin Van Buuren remix and a few soundbites.
Personally, I wouldn't be bothered with this one extra track.
Should you be willing to pay a whopping $50, you can buy the Japanese release through Amazon.com

(hope the link works...)

Apparently, some of the 25 tracks contain / consist of SFX. If you're interested though, it's
available on ArkSquare at 25$.

Mine, the 24 track CD, doesn't contain dialogue or SFX, save the "remix" song. The last couple of tracks consist of CTU telephone soundbites. Cool to use as a ringtone...

Whats SFX? Thanks.

SFX = Sound Effects
The sound track to a film mainly consists of dialogue, wild track noise, sound effects and the music (score/songs).
In this case SFX refers to the CTU telephone ring, Jack Bauer's voice and the now famous ticking clock sound.
