New HOTWAX magazine with bonus CD!

Hello fellow fans of Japanese TV and movie music!

I just picked up the latest Hotwax magazine (ya know, the magazine behind all the cool Japanese CD's I always rave about) and its bonus CD is worth the price alone! Like all their bonus CD's that came with various issues of mag in the past, this one only has a few (five) tracks, but to my surprise they included the unreleased theme to "Sukeban Guerilla" (my favorite in the series). This is not the song by Miki Sugimoto that was released on at least 3 different CD's already by Hotwax, but the music that is played behind the opening credits! The first track on this sampler CD is from the 2nd Sukeban film and was already released on the Toei Masterworks Series volume called "Adult" films. There is another BGM track of "Guerilla" as well as a track from the first Sukeban film ("Queen Bee Counterattack") and a track I don't know. The last issue of Hotwax (#7) also came with a killer sampler of music from the "Delinquent Boss" films.

On another note, the so-called "composer series" recently released by Hotwax were a big dissapointment to me, especially the "Sex Hunter/Bad Girl Mako" volume. Contrary to what the title says these are NOT the complete soundtracks to these films. In fact, there are only four tracks from each film! The rest are from other films. All the tracks from "Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter" were all on the bonus CD that came with the Hotwax book "Queens of Japanese Cinema" What a letdown!
