BANNING
I'm looking for the Soundtrack from the 1967 Film: BANNING.
Quincy Jones arranged it and the Main Theme, THE EYES OF LOVE (Vocals), was done by Gil Bernal. Please contact me if you have it or know where I can get it.
Thanks

I don't think the Banning score has ever been released. I know the theme is on a couple of old Q L.P.'s
The Quincy Jones film scores from that period are great. I've had nearly all of them for years. If there's a soundtrack recording for Banning it's news to me.

Thanks for the reply. The resason I'm thinking there was a Recording is, The Eyes of Love was nominated for Best Song. I haven't given up hope someone has Gil Bernal's Vocals of the song. :)

There never was a soundtrack album. The recording of Gil Bernal from the film is even more rare. The only release I ever found was a 45rpm promotional that was sent for Awards consideration in 1968. It had several versions (Gil Bernal, Trini Lopez, Marlena Shaw, Jack Jones, & Andre Kostelanetz). Alas my copy was destroyed in a move several years ago.

So strange that it wasn't released I have a 7" that plays at 33 1/3 of
The Eyes Of Love - side 1 says Gil Bernal (as sung from the Sound Track of Banning)
Andre Kostelanetz
Trini Lopez
Side 2 reads The Eyes Of Love
from the Universal Picture Banning
Jack Jones
Skitch Henderson
Marlena Shaw
Both sides credited to ( Bob Russell- Quincy Jones)
It's on all white with no matrices except BR-1 and BR-2
