It's cheaper to buy the CD at Chris' Soundtrack Corner.

Buysoundtrax???

I'm affraid they are not selling this CD. Anyway, if you purchase any CD from Buysoundtrax, it is at your own risk...

Just curious: why is ordering from BuySountrax "at your own risk"?

A while ago I ordered some (older) Varèse CDs via BS, because (incl shipping costs) they were a lot cheaper than ordering them through Varèse itself!
I have no complaints.

Me neither. But hadn't we had a thread some time ago about BSX problems?

Just for the sake of the BSX theme: I have ordered stuff that NEVER arrived and they NEVER replied to complaints. They NEVER refounded the money either. Beware of that company...

THE 'BURBS: Deluxe Edition for SALE

Me too.

I've been deceived more than once by them. Yes, sometimes they are cheaper than other dealers. They also offer good discounts. You can find really interesting stuff in their site... But then, one day, the problems begin. They first charge your credit card or PayPal account even before the CDs are available. For weeks, months and even years, some of the CDs they announce won't be available through them. You send e-mail after e-mail trying to get an answer, but they ignore everyone of your inquiries. Then, one day, after five, eight or twelve e-mails (this can last from one to twelve months), they send a short replay with apologies, telling some kind of excuse like "We are sorry, but your messages were catched by our spam filter" or any other unbeliable nonsense. Then they promise to send a "surprise gift CD" to compensate the inconvenience... But the CD won't never arrive at your home. Finally they will accept to make a refund for the items they didn't send. But that refund will also take a long, long time to arrive. Once again you have to send e-mail after e-mail asking for the promised refund. At last your account receives the money. In the meantime you have lost time and money. The amount you receive is always smaller than the money you paid (PayPal takes an important part of the refund transaction).

Of course this is my experience with Buysoundtrax, and I'm sure there are a lot of people absolutely satisfied with them. In my opinion, if you purchase CDs regularly from Buysoundtrax, sooner or later the nightmare will begin for you. I haven't woken from mine yet. But unless I've taken a decission about it: "Never buy from them again".

Anyway, good luck with your purchases, my friends.

Best wishes,
Angel

What a waste of my time to be even writing this but for what it's worth, I have bought from them as well. Indeed, BSX can be very deceiving! Yes, they do charge one's credit card as soon as an order is placed regardless if the items of interest are in stock or not. This is unprofessional and unheard of as far as I know. And if some items are supposedly not in stock, then your whole order is delayed while you have been charged for them and without even having been notified by email of the situation. As far as emails, they hardly respond to them and if they do, it is only after some time has passed by. My advice, try to avoid purchasing from them if possible! If tempted though, one should always use PayPal and not place big orders. Have I been ripped off? Not exactly, since I go after them. I am forced to call them internationally which is an added expense of course but mostly an aggravation on my part. Next time, I'll hop into a private jet, fly transatlantically to pick up that guy Vinny from Brooklyn, and then head straight to California to deal with matters in person and in private. I must have received the same Elmer Bernstein bonus cd more than once which is a good one I might add. Couldn't you guys from BSX send me something else next time? Perhaps a juicy N.Y. style pizza with extra cheese & tomato sauce would be highly regarded with raw onions on top so I can exorcise the demons that are plaguing you. No more Bernstein cd, please!

Congratulations "BSX Deceived". Unless you got the (in)famous "surprise gift CD".

Cheers,
