Diamanti sporchi di sangue - Luis Bacalov
Hey everybody!
During my "Virus" opening track search (which is a theme of "Diamanti sporchi di sangue") I wrote an email to Digitmovies about the possibility to release said score by Luis Bacalov. Today, I received a very friendly email from them I wanted to share with whoever is interested in this:
"Hello
sorry for the delay but in the last time is very difficult to us reply immediately for the number of the email that Digitmovies receive.
Your request will be processed to discovery the possibility to made this project.
The time is very long, but if will be possible to release Digitmovies inform you about this possibility.
Thank you very much for your support and regards"
So... there IS a little hope after all :-)
Best,
Burnie

Hey Burnie,
It just goes to show you that anything is possible in the world of soundtrack releases. A long time ago I sent an e-mail asking Varese Sarabande about releasing Pino Donaggio's "Piranha" on CD. After a week went by, I received an e-mail that said, "Thank you for your suggestion, but we do not have any immediate future plans for this release." Feeling discouraged, I deleted the e-mail. But, after a year had passed, I went back on the Varese website to check out the upcoming club titles, and sure enough, "Piranha" was one of them.
I am not trying to take credit for Varese's release; instead, I 'm just pointing out that sometimes all it takes is a few e-mails from fans of a particular soundtrack to give a major label incentive for digging up those old master-tapes.
I'm positive we will be hearing the bouncy Moog opening through our stereos...someday.
By the way, Burnie, the other track you are searching for-- the one used during the Zombie-priest attack-- is on Fantafestival III. The composer is Gianni Dell' Orso. Honestly, this compilation, excluding the one Virus track, is not really worth the hunt. I found many of the other cues on this disc rather bland. Many of them have already been re-released in their entirety.
Thank you for the post and the e-mail to Digitimovies. I hope that along with this possible release they might dig up some Daniele Patucchi; he's another great composer who still remains elusive to the compact disc medium. Hmm, perhaps an e-mail...
Best,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy!
Thanks for your great reply!
Yes, you are right. I often drop emails to companies with my "wish list". Usually (except Varese and now Digitmovies) I don't get many replies. But I fully understand that. I think if they receive enough emails with the same requests they might actually get an idea what some of us out there would like. But it's still mere coincidence when something actually does pop up after all... Still - it's always worth a try ;-)
Hmmmm, thanks for the Fantafestival hint. Now at least I know that this track is on there. Great. I'm not too interested in the rest of the compilation, as I already have most of the (to me) interesting stuff on there. So strange - I have the Vol.4 (bought it in Italy some 18 years ago) and have seen Vol. 1 and 2 on eBay once or twice. But Vol. 3 just never seems to pop up anywhere, grrr...
By the way, I just downloaded four tracks of Goblin's as-of-yet unreleased "Squadra Antimafia"score - I'm going to listen to these right now. Very excited. If interested, go to the official Goblin page and go the english section of the forum. Somebody posted the link there.
Best wishes,
Burnie
