Question

Stranded on an island.

Just for fun! If you were stranded on an island with a CD player what are the top 5 soundtracks that you would have to have.
Here are mine.

1. Krull by James Horner
2. Conan the Barbarian by Basil Poledouris
3. Superman by John Williams
4. The Empire Strikes Back by John Williams
5. The Sea Hawk by Eric Wolfgang Korngold

I am constantly asking my wife this question so I thought I would ask you guys. I am just curious.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (Elfman)
The Ghost and Mrs Muir (Herrmann)
Some Korngold, either Adv of Robin Hood or Sea Hawk or Kings Row

These would make my list:

Heaven & Earth / Kitaro
Goldsmith conducts Goldsmith / Jerry Goldsmith
Best of Vangelis (the) / Vangelis Papathanassiou
Legend of 1900 (The) / Ennio Morricone
Restoration / James Newton Howard
Russia House (the) / Jerry Goldsmith

I know, that's six; so I cheated, could not help it!

Strictly speaking, this list isn't entirely accurate, since I am operating under the self-enforced caveat of only listing each individual composer once (otherwise, John Williams would own this list). That said, I'd take:

John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN
Jerry Goldsmith's STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE
James Horner's TITANIC
Various--2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
John Williams' THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (still the single greatest film score ever written!)

All I need is FORBIDDEN ZONE by Danny Elfman.

Play it over and over...til you evolve into a wacked-out tom hanks from "cast away" and start talking to volleyballs....

Sooooooooo difficult, but....

1 - The Last Of The Mohicans - Trevor Jones / Randy Edelman
2 - The Mission - Ennio Morriconne
3 - Amelie - Yann Tiersen
4 - Little Shop Of Horrors - Alan Menken
5 - Hair - Galt McDermott

The first time I tried to answer this, I came with + or - 25 titles; painfully cutting out some, I got to this five - but protesting the other should be here too...
