A Better Tomorrow Vocal Theme Song, I and II
Does anyone know the actual names of the two songs sung by Leslie Cheung from A.B.T. I and II? I can't seem to find the song titles on the Internet. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy
I have the ABT I theme on double Leslie Cheung "best of". When I play the disc using Windows Media Player, it brings up the title of the song as "Love for Houston". But, as a student of Mandarin Chinese I can tell you the Mandarin title is "Dang Nian Qing". (Chinese characters = ác”Nî) If you have Chinese characters installed you should be able to see them pasted above. As for the ABT II theme I only have it as an MP3 that I got from Napster in its "wild west" days. I'm still looking for the CD with that song on it but Leslie Cheung has too many CD's! I myself am still looking for the Sally Yeh "Face to Face" CD that has her two songs from "The Killer". I do have a mint LP however, that I bought still sealed, but I still want the CD. Anyway I hope the info here helps.

Oopps! I see that from my above post that Chinese characters do not display properly on soundtrackcollector. Jeremy, if you need the asian chararcters drop me an email: erictyee @ comcast . net (no spaces of course!).

Hi Jeremy
Here is an english transliteration of the Cantonese title for ABT I:
"Dong Ninh Chihng" which is more appropriate than the Mandarin title above, since the song is sung in Cantonese, not Mandarin.

Hi Jeremy,
this is unrelated to your question, I just wanted to say thanks for your response on the Sicilian Clan thread regarding Morricone concerts. I would have responded there as well, but as we had the trouble with the false identities of one or some members at the weekend, I was a bit hesitant to reply to anyone.
Best wishes,
Urs

Eric:
Thank you so much for your help!
Urs:
No problem at all; considering all the post-attacks this forum kept getting from the resident soundtrack lunatic, who shall remain nameless, I felt reluctant to write any comments or questions as well. Thanks for responding. Once more, I think it's cool you've seen Morricone live. It's hard to believe that any one individual can have so much musical creativity. May he keep making more music for us to enjoy. I only hope he lives long enough so I can see him live.
Much respect,
Jeremy
