I had a very strong feeling when Doug mentioned it on his website about the upcoming release it would be Alien - Complete. He had alluded to wishing to have this earlier in the year and to be honest if they didn't I thought perhaps Varese might have but this has got to be a gem considering the wrangles Goldsmith and Scott went through despite working again on Legend with Goldsmith and the trouble they had on that. Needless to say, the linear notes should provide an interesting read. I hope so anyway.

Note: with much pleasure i can finnaly hear the "missing percussions" on the track "Main Title (film version)".
You can NOT listen these sounds in the bootleg version nor in the Varèse complilation; never understood why...

This really has been a wonderful year for soundtrack enthusiasts - with this release possibly being the jewel in the crown.
