EXORCIST II : THE HERETIC
Does anyone know if the following music is on the official soundtrack release of "Exorcist II: The Heretic"???
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jM6PQ1mjLE
Quite groovy!...
Did Morricone compose this version as well?
It sounds Goblinish.
How about the music from this other cool 'teaser' trailer also from "Exorcist II: The Heretic"?

Is this music available in any soundtrack album?
Anyone know who might have scored it?
It sounds like Carl Zittrer music.
I have to admit that these two trailers are more interesting to watch than the film itself.
A horror of a sequel!

Hey Serifiot,
The music played during YOU-TUBE trailer for "Exorcist II" is called "Magic and Ecstasy," and it is featured on the Warner-released soundtrack. There's another variation of this theme on the soundtrack called "Pazuzu." Personally, I like the main theme written for Linda Blair's character, Regan, best of all on this soundtrack.
The music from the teaser trailer is not by Morricone, and not on the soundtrack--sounds cool, though.
Overall, this soundtrack is definitely worth getting if you like Morricone.
*Morricone composed and conducted all the tracks.

From the first trailer the music is on the LP. I believe it's the first track side two. Has more or less always been the stand out piece on the score recording for me.
I sat through the entire film once waiting to hear that piece of music. I sat through the entire two hours of one of the most boring films ever made only to find out it's not in the film.
I believe it was composed especially for the trailer.
Another Morricone score with similar sounds is "Il Serpente". There's a track on that score recording always reminds me of the piece from "The Heretic".

Personally, I LOVE the film!
The previous answers are quite correct....the first trailer music is definitely the track titled "Pazuzu" (or as I like to call it, "Disco Exorcist"), and the second trailer music is "Magic and Ecstasy". Both pieces are definitely on the soundtrack, a very underrated Morricone work which is probably my fave of his scores. The movie is also considered to be cinematographer William Fraker's best work.
