Very, very unfortunately, there was never an official release of the Dead Calm soundtrack. I strongly hope this will change one day...

All versions that pop up on eBay or dubious stores are home-made CDR bootlegs, containing the 30 minute score in mediocre quality only (sounds like it was mastered from a cassette or alike). No dynamics, very little treble. So beware when you're being offered this score. Again, there is NO legitimate / legal release available.

Thanks for the advice. The music in the movie is excellent. It is really such a pity there is no officially released soundtrack for this movie.

I have the "Promotional Copy Only" CD of this soundtrack in my collection. A silver disc, factory pressed and all, with real artwork like inserts, front & back covers. And the sound quality is superb compared to all the crappy versions of this OST that's floating around on the Internet. It was very expensive, but worth it, easily! :-)

So I'd say, there was/is a release of this soundtrack!
