CREEPSHOW (1982) Unreleased library music
All music by John Harrison for Creepshow has already been released on LP and CD BUT the movie includes lots of brilliant orchestral library music, so i would like to know if anyone of you knows the source of that music? (label, LP title, etc...) Thank you for your precious help!

Hum, I assume you wanted to say: "La-La-Land re-release", right? :-)
(By the way, the Soundtrack Listeners Communications CD is sooo rad! Glad they kept that cool poster cover!: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=6619)

Well i meant La-la-land and not Intrada, of course.
I personaly own the Japan CD and the original Varese LP. ^_^

The liner notes of the CD state that the library cues were "unavailable." That either
means they couldn't find them, or they couldn't license them.
But the unreleased library cues from Dawn turned up online, I'm assuming it's only a
matter of time till the Creepshow tracks do as well.

Ah, thank u Dude, i didn't red the notes on the Intrada CD reedition.
Yes, a compilation CD of all library music used in Creepshow would be great but i think probabilities are terribly little... We'll see... Anyway thx again mate!

I think the music library or source music company is listed in the end credits of the movie itself,
if you want to take a moment and peruse them. At least it could be a starting point. Be
interested in finding out what you turn up.

Hi, sorry about the delay in joing this thread. I thoght I could add some interesting info if anyone's still listening! A lot of the library music for Creepshow is actually the same score that was used to back the 1968 original Night Of The Living Dead. It is a well known fact that library music is a cheap way to get around producing a film soundtrack if you're short of money - which Romero was at the time!! That score was released by Varese Sarabande back in 1982. It's probably more than likely that Lalaland didn't have access to the master tapes if they still even exist. Seeing as they were so cheap to license the first time around, it should've been the easiest thing to include. Only Romero can aswer that question though. I hope it gets issued too, fingers crossed eh!!!

Erm... I'm pretty sure you're incorrect about the NOTLD/Creepshow library music being
the same, and it being released in 1982.

Hum, the music from Night of the living dead soundtrack eventually reminds the background music in the episode 'The lonesome death of Jordy Verrill'. In fact, this time I've checked the end credits of the movie and the music library used seem to come from Capitol records... I will make my best to find the mysterious LP!.... Thank to all for your help. I will let you know if i'm lucky in that research, sure many of you will be interested!

I agree it's the same music, no question about it. You can hear it in the episode "Something to tide you over" when Leslie Neilson pushes the sand up against Ted Danson's face with the line "you know, i could really cover you all the way up couldn't I Harry". Listen, it's definitley there. If it's by Capital that's probably why Lalaland couldn't offord the excessive re-use fees. The synth stuff is by john Harrison.
