problems with buysoundtrax

hi, everyone. i'm spanish and i can't speak english very well,so sorry about it.

i've been reading your posts since two years and i've been earning so much from you.

now, my problem. i've bought 4 cds in buysoundtrax and received only 3 (but i paid for the 4 cds). in the bill, they have written "back ordened" (i don´t know what it means).

i've sent,at least, 5 e-mails to info @ buysoundtax . com and got no answer.
i've sent a report in it yahoo store and got no answer too.

so, i don´t know what else to do. is there any other options?

pero esta vez, compre 4 cds y me han venido 3. yo he pagado los 4 y en la factura el total es por los 4 cds. en esa factura pone "back ordened", que no se lo que significa.
he mandado 5 mails a la direccion de info @ buysoundtrax . com y no me han contestado.
he escrito un informe negativo en su tienda de yahoo y tampoco.
ya no se que mas hacer. sabe alguien de mas opciones?
no es que sea mucho dinero (9 dolares), pero me fastidia mucho.

Answers

"back ordered" just means that buysoundtrax is waiting for the CD from the manufacturer. buysoundtrax has ordered the CD for you from the original producer of the CD, and when buysoundtrax gets it, they will send it to you.

a mi tambien me ha pasado. con buysoundtrax ya se sabe. hay que tener paciencia para que te contesten y con suerte te vuelvan a enviar el cd que te falta. son unos informales.

Esto que te ha ocurrido es muy habitual en Buysoundtrax, les pides 4 cds y solo te envian 3, el cuarto te llegara cuando a ellos les llegue a tienda (recuerdo que en una ocasion me trado 1 mes y medio) de modo que paciencia y ante la duda no les pidas mas, porque son bastante impresentables y su servicio con el comprador es malo

I would suggest placing your next order at www.intrada.com or www.screenarchives.com. Unlike buysoundtrax, these shops are very reliable and efficient.

Hello.

All my experiences with Buysoundtrax have been really bad ones. In one occasion, I was waiting for one order for more than 6 months. Of course they didn't answer any of my e-mails. When they finally answered, their response had no sense at all (they didn't read my e-mails because they were identified like spam, and other unbeliable excuses, and blah, blah, blah...) . Then I asked them to send back my money. They agreed, but I had to send other 4 or 5 e-mails to get the money back. One more month later I got the money. In the meanwhile I wasted my time, my money and my patience. Their catalogue has really good stuff, but I'm afraid most of it is not in stock. They charge your credit card for the whole order at the very same moment you complete the order form. Then, they try to get the CDs for you ordering them from some dealer or even other online stores. As a result, if you order CDs from them regularly, you'll often suffer of a chaotic service.

Just like my amigo American_Nightmare suggests, the best you can do is purchasing the CDs at ScreenArchives or Intrada. They know how to treat their customers.

I have same the problem. Also ordered 4 cd's, only received 3 (after a few months, and sending an email about the status of my order) with back-ordered written on the invoice. Mailed about it a two times, but still got no reply.

Untill this last order my experience with Buysoundtrax has been positive, although I must admit I mostly order from screenarchives and intrada because they deliver much faster.

Buysoundtrax replied to other mails I send in the past, so the spam-filter-excuse is not very solid in my case.

I have only send two emails about the backorder...after reading the other posts I guess I have to send a few more before I get an answer :).

I've ordered a number of soundtracks from BSX and had no problem at all. I prefer to order direct from the companies that produce the CDs though, because I feel that the direct support might encourage more releases. eg. Lalaland records.

Obviously, if you order the BSX label CDs from Buysoundtrax, you'll receive them soon, because these titles are always in stock.

As for the rest of the CDs they offer in their site, you never know when you'll receive them...

I agree with other posters: Intrada and Screen Archive Entertainment are the best and most reliable.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

But if you wish to take a chance and roll the dice, feel free to buy from BSX :)

i live in france.
the second time i ordered soundtracks from BSX was in august 2007. i received more than a month later my order but one cd was missing (back ordered).
i send them many emails & they only answered twice. to apologize & because i wasn't very happy by the delay, they gave me a discount number to use for a new order.
on november 11th 2007, i ordered 5 cds at screenarchives & 5 at BSX (because i wanted to use that discount number).
i received my screenarchives order only 2 weeks later. after a month i recieved a wrong order from BSX for a guy in arizona...
i send them emails. they apologised & said that every cds of my order were in stock and would be send the next day in priority mail.
it was more than a month ago and now they don't answer my emails...
so yes... prefer screenarchives because when problems arrive, BSX are not here to tell you what's going on & help you out. it's not very professional.
but it's just my opinion. (three orders, two problems, 1 still not solved)

The only times I ordered from BSX were when these guys released limited or signed CDs... otherwise ScreenArchives and Intrada are the best! Not to say that BSX actually "suck", but their service is not reliable, eventhough I'm sure they are nice persons. ;-)

My experience is very bad. I am still waiting CD i ordered in March 2007. the sent me 2 CDs I never ordered, as well.
I have sent several emails (even 1 every day in July, and never got an answer. Then I called the several times nd they requested me to write an email with all the CDs that were missing (more than 10).
The result, They sent me a CD twice and an other one I never ordered.
Naturally I do not place orders any more.

I have ordered from BSX two times. Once from an eBay purchase-No problems. The second time, I ordered four CDs from their website. I only got three. The one I did not get was supposed to be an autographed copy. After numerous telephone conversations with the guy, he finally sent me an un-autographed CD of the one I ordered. But, to make it up, he sent me an additional CD for free. Also, I should say that when the original order came, all of the CD cases were cracked. I had to replace all of them. Poor packaging. I may not order from them again, but if I do, it will have to be something I can only get from them.

more than a month ago, i wrote on this forum about my problems with bsx.
here's, finally, the end of my story...

during 3 weeks, i sent them, every day, one email on their two email address. no answer
in the last one, i called them "thieves" and swore if i wouldn't have an answer or the entire refund of my money within a week, i wrote on every forum which talks about soundtracks and told my story.
the next day (strange...) they answered me, apoligized for the mix up & troubles. i fought for another week to have my money back via paypal and finally they paid me back my $100.

i hope it will help anyone who have problems with bsx.

I am having the same problem. I guess they don't really care if customers get their orders or not or if they get bad reviews. In my eyes they are theives unless they prove me wrong by sending my cd or returning my money. I will change this if they do but not until then.
