2007 KOREAN MOVIE: Information needed
Hello soundtrackcollector friends.
I've recently purchased the soundtrack of a (South) Korean movie, but the title and composer's name are written in Korean letters. The CD has been released by Ponycannon Korea (also known as Pony Canyon Korea) and the label number is PCSD-00212. A complete descrition of the CD (including cover art) can be found here: http://www.maniadb.com/album.asp?a=151545&s=1
I'd appreciate if someone could inform me about the international title for this movie and/or the transcription of the title and composer's name to western letters. Thank you in advance.
Kindest regards,
Angel

Evil Twin by Kim Jun-seong. I've been thiking of getting that one myself. I recently picked up his score to the thriller Seven Days and liked it a lot.

Thank you very much Squiddybop!
I haven't listened to the CD yet, so I can't recommend it. By the way, are Kim Jun-seong and Kim Jun-seok the same person? I've noticed that the western transcription of Korean names sometimes varies. In that case, I have got another CD by this composer in my collection: DOO SA-LAM-I-DA (aka SOMEONE BEHIND YOU). I remember it was an interesting soundtrack with some haunting themes.
PS: the cover art from EVIL TWIN is beautiful (and creepy).
Greetings,

Nope, Kim Jun-seong and Kim Jun-seok are two different people. In fact, Kim Jun-seok wasn't the only composer on Someone Behind You. The liner notes credited the score to M&F Composer Group, which appears to be made up of Jun-seok and at least five other people. I think I managed to figure out who wrote what, but I'm a bit less confident in my attempts to translate the names of the additional composers.

Oh, thank you for the information. I'm new to the Korean film music and, although I've purchased some titles in the last months and am really interested in getting more, at the moment I'm an absolute freshman in the subject.
You are right. I've checked the SOMEONE BEHIND YOU Compact Disc and the music is composed by a group of people. With EVIL TWIN happens something similar. Some tracks are signed by one person and some others by a different composer. These are the 15 more melodic cues. Then, there are the final 16 tracks, more experimental and atonal than the first part, and they are signed by one of the composers I wrote above, plus two new names. The group, indeed, could be named "Aura". Unless, that is what I understand looking to the booklet. In it there are photos of three men and a woman, and I think they are the composers and performers.
Greets,
Angel
