There is no 'Definitive Edition'. It is officially called THE DEFINITE EDITION, as stated on the CD cover. Some people call it the Definitive Edition by mistake.

There were reprints that state "Definitive". They contain the same music though.

Thanks for your quick answer , i appreciate!

But what's strange is that some site mention " definitive " on the cover they use , check this for example :

http://www.fye.com/The-Terminator--Definitive-Edition--Front-Page_stcVVproductId193268VVcatId455366VVviewprod.htm

it's written definitive on the cover!

In that case, I stand corrected. Thanks for the info, mcmahan.

Used this way definitive has a meaning, but definite does not and is probably just a typographical error (or may have been written in by someone with an inadequate grasp of English).

well
my CD is definite "The Definitive Edition"!

the meaning is the same, so is the content.

Notice the different release number of your copy and the FYE copy.
Also, the different text in the red bubble.
The image submitted to THIS database for the release 29022 is inaccurate. That image corresponds to 22082 (your copy). The text was fixed for the later run (my copy, which I'm looking at).

zuvqwyx3 : you mean the copy i bought is not legit ?

lunar666, February 1, 2008; 7:36 PM

Fear not... it'll be legit. My copy says "The Definite Edition", and I got mine from HMV. I always thought it odd that it was called that - it's grammatical nonsense, after all - but didn't know they ever did re-prints. My 'red bubble' says "Includes New Material", too.

I'm glad someone noticed - shame they still put the wrong track time for "Tech Noir / Alley Chase" though! Mine says (6:49) which is clearly a mistake as the following track "Garage Chase" is also (6:49)... D'oh!

In a nutshell you have the expanded release score!

It's legit, just a slightly earlier edition.
