ALL boots except:
Home Alone 2 (limited) <-- it's the Varese release
The Blue Lagoon
Taxi Driver

Don't waste your money with bootlegs. If you are so desperate to hear these soundtracks, you can easily find them in a p2p network such emule until a legal release comes up. As for knowing whether a cd is a bootleg or not, just search in soundtrack collector. If you can't find it here, it's probably a bootleg
Also, use your common sense. Do you really think that there are record companies like "Indiana Industries Inc." or "Obsessed Music Corporation"???

Like i sayed in another thread , i don't understand why studios don't want to release out of print cd or cd who were never released ...
They release millions of dvd per year and they remastered the sound and the video , they do that because they know they're gonna sell a lot of them because there's billions of movies fans , it's the same thing with soundtracks , we're millions of peoples who are waiting for a lot of soundtracks to be released so we can buy'em , the studios can make a lot of money with this but they don't give a damn , it's looks like they encourage Bootlegs instead ...

Dear Lunar, please comeback to the planet earth !
FSM is one of the finest record company for soundtracks, they make 3000 copies from a title and this 3000 take many years(some of them 10 now) to be sold!!!
Well...No ! Unfortunately we are not million...Pity when a RAP song sell one million in a week and none of titles of Herrmann or Goldsmith can reach this MILLION in 100 years...Though their music will remain when those RAP songs will be lost in black hole!
As the right of this soundtracks you are searching for belongs to the big companies they simply make "their" common sense and dont waist their time for 2000 copies... And when somebody offer them to release what they don't want release, they ask for a big amount of money wich nobody can afford with selling 3000 copies...I wonder if we are even 10,000 in entire galaxy...

Cinemusic : Believe me we're a lot more than you think , and i agree when you say that Rap music or Pop music sells better than movie soundtrack but orchestral music or classical are immortal , for example everyday there's new people who starts collecting soundtracks or classical musics and as for Rap music it's the system who impose upon us this Music , Between you and me , i think Rap is Crap , it's always the same stuff and there's a lot of insult in those songs , how can someone relate to that , anyway it's not gonna last long before this genre sink forever , everytime you listen to radio you heard Rap , that's a sad period we're living in musically , all the good singers are gone ( Mickael jackson , Georges mickael , Elton John and even all those great hard rock band ) and if the studios didn't sell well movie soundtracks it's because of 2 things : first , they don't want to invest money to promote soundtracks or to remaster old tape because they're afraid to lose money , they are just a bunch of capitalist who only think about money ( i hate capitalism , i'm against it ) then the big problem is illegal download on the net , now everybody who's got internet can download for free every album or movie he wants , even before it will be release on the market so the studios thinks about that too ...
But a true fan , a music lover will continue to buy original stuff!
I think there's really a big market for music soundtracks but the studios don't know how to exploit it!
lunar666, February 1, 2008; 2:32 PM

cinemusic is actually right.
Believe it or not, even if a limited release of 3000 units sells out fast, that brings in so little profit, that the big studios won't even bother. Profits from DVD's bring in so much money, that they have become even more important than the actual theatrical releases. You simply can't compare it with a soundtrack CD.
There are lots of score enthousiasts, but we are still concidered to be a neglectible target within the industry.
If a mainstream studio does put out a score, they want it to appeal to as much people as possible, so they only make a single disc containing the most important cues (sometimes even re-recording or remixing various short cues into one longer cue, which produces an easier listening experience) or much worse, hit songs.
Because, that's where the money is.
rinse_dream, February 1, 2008; 4:35 PM

You're right but there's no respect for the artist , then why all the composers don't gather to discuss a way to sell their cd's by themselves ? i'm sure a lot of them are millionnaire , if they create their own label it will be better for everyone...
lunar666, February 1, 2008; 5:17 PM

most composers don't own the publishing rights of their works, why do you think Yared was forced to remove his rejected soundtrack for Troy from his site?
You must be quite young, your film scores world is highly idealized; there are not millions of people collecting soundtracks and, as far as I know, most composers aren't millionaires, nor can dispose of his work at will.
