Adult Film Soundtracks
Greetings Audiophiles!
Can anyone here tell me who is creating modern American adult film scores?
I found the link:
http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/forum/displayquestion.php?topicid=8307
However after following all the leads out I find there are no current working composers or even any info on who is producing or recording. As this industry seems to be chugging right along I thought it must still be using music if not actual scores so I have turned to you all in desperation.
Thanks for your time

Lots of film scores aren't released today. Concerning modern adult film scores, the question is how many people would buy such CD's.
One of the more recent legit releases must be Latex/Shock, by Dino and Earl Ninn. But as I found out later, it's actually director Michael Ninn who is the creative genius behind it. After that, he frequently used Lauren Alexander as a composer, but who's to say that's even an actual woman?
So that's already something to think about: most, if not all, composers of adult material use a pseudonym and the score is almost never concidered for a CD release. For obvious reasons, I think.
Unless it's... a musical!

Thank you for your time and the leads.
The musical is very funny in the light of my error.
I was not clear. I apologize.
I am not interested in obtaining the music. I am interested in the way the (modern) music is conceived - pardon - and the creative process that must be required to produce the score and soundtrack.
I am interested in the nuts and bolts not the body as it were.
Since I could find no source of information I considered that those who collect soundtracks might have some clue who produces them.
I did discover a host of unbelievable names but alas no person to interview as to the actual creative mechanics.
Thank you again for your time.

I see, that's indeed another question all together.
Most modern adult films are done very cheap (I'm not referring to home made amateur gonzo stuff, but large scale productions), meaning everything is digital, from the cameras to the editing (mainly on AVID software).
Nearly all of the scores are electronic, probably using Cubase software connected to a synthesizer through a midi interface. Even "choirs", as heard in some Michael Ninn films, are just simple recordings made grande through digital enhancement and cloning.
Today, you can do all of this yourself on a little-more-than-standard PC or Mac.
To my knowledge there are no distributors who solely release adult soundtracks. Also, most composers will use a pseudonym for a reason. Maybe that is why information is so scarse.
Sorry, that's the best I can answer this question (which I myself would also like to know more about).
