It is great news for some I guess but I dont' think it will be an immediate sale out but most likely it will sale out before the Bernstein box does. The price is not bad either for the amount of music one is getting but to pay an extra 80 bucks on top of the 120 for an autographed book is ridiculous which can certainly be used in purchasing other titles instead. I hope this does not start a trend with other record labels that offer autographed booklets. All autographed booklets I've received so far are free of charge. It would be great if John Williams had autographed the book as well. I wonder if all the music by John Williams composed for Superman is on this box set.

To be honest, I would have preferred all the music from those hard to find prizeworthy rerecordings by Charles Gerhardt issued on those 14 RCA albums. Perhaps another FSM box release in the near future dedicated to Charles Gerhardt which a golden color will complement the release perfectly.

Don't get me wrong, this Superman release is great and since I still do not have the Ryko release, I'm strongly thinking about this but damn those Varese cd club releases are coming up as well.

In any case...

Bravo or brava to FSM... once more!
