Please leave one for me...
(waiting to get to the order section of the FSM site)
Reminds me of the Intrada release of ALIEN,
and that one wasn't even limited!
WimArnhem, February 21, 2008; 5:52 PM

Listening to some sample tracks from Superman. Exciting stuff!
I believe the autographed copies is what must have jammed the site which by now they are most likely sold out.
Imagine if Williams had signed this. I think PC's would have exploded!
Personally, I haven't experienced anything like this. I don't remember Intrada's website with Alien being so busy. At first I thought there was something wrong with my computer.
Did anyone get the chance to order an autographed copy or a a regular copy???
In any case... they'll be copies left for a while.
After all... tomorrow is another day!
serifiot, February 21, 2008; 6:07 PM

BTW... I'm glad I did not get an autographed copy but I'm happy for the ones who did.
You know how many cd soundtracks I can get for 80 bucks?
Cheers from planet Krypton!

serifiot, February 21, 2008; 6:13 PM

Well, a fantastic release which I will order soon.
Anyway, as you might have noticed, I entered a (hopefully) complete tracklisting at http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=83609 It was *quite* a lot of work, so I might have entered a typo or two. So if you find any obvious errors, please let me know (politely ;-))
Best wishes,
Urs

I finally decided to order it from Intrada. It's getting close to midnight here, and I need some sleep...
Hopefully Intrada manages to secure a copy on my behalf.

By the way, Handstand, the track listing you submitted looks great :-)
benterik, February 21, 2008; 6:53 PM

Well, I finally managed to get through. Ordered a regular one. Don't care much for the autographs. You can indeed buy a lot of cd's for 80 bucks... for instance the soundtracks varese club will release next monday. No doubt there will be one or two worth buying.
erikvantholt, February 21, 2008; 6:54 PM

Thanks Ben. :-) I had some opportunity to "practice" all the editing tricks on another box set recently. I hope no one's envious as I jumped to securing the tracklist to me. ;-)
handstand, February 21, 2008; 6:57 PM

Urs, you did again a wonderful and very fast job.
Thanks..!
ton.werkman, February 22, 2008; 3:10 AM

Took me about 20 mins got get my order processed. 21 dollars shiping to the UK if your interested.
anthonynputson, February 21, 2008; 7:34 PM

Hey Urs, you must have had a sweat posting those tracks. It looks really good!
I am beat from going back and forth to place a f....n order! Man how nervewracking... but worth it!
Nearly 4 hours to place an order. Can you believe this?
I have never encountered anything like this. Apparently, some autographed copies for those who are interested might still be available... I think.
Hope you guys got your copy! If not... sooner or later. It will be there.
Cheers!!
I feel so juvenille today!... I'm eight years old!!!
:- )))
serifiot, February 21, 2008; 8:00 PM

It took me almost 2 hours to place my order (an unsigned set)!
I haven't experienced this kind of business before.
Hopefully there won't be many titles from
Varese coming monday that I want....
WimArnhem, February 22, 2008; 2:02 AM

Never before has it taken me hours to order anything!
First off all, my net connection went down (why does this always happen at a time like this?) then the heavy traffic at screenarchives...
I stuck with it though, and I'm glad I did.
The order confirmation in my email inbox was a sight for weary eyes.

graeme_watson, February 22, 2008; 4:54 AM

Goodmorning!... I'm me old serious, less juvenille self again. I had funny dreams though... I swear.
Soundtrack collectors were all in a room including myself or in some dreamland place, somewhere with lots of PC's or perhaps one PC, I can't remember exactly.
I could not see faces but boxes... YES BOXES!
The Varese releases were announced. It was GOOGLES mind you, not GOONIES. That I remember clearly now.
I could not care less for Goonies or whatever it is called since I have not seen the film and don't really care for movies like that, just good film score music but I guess from all the posts I've read in soundtrack forums from people regarding their requests of such a release it must have been stuck in my brain cells.
Everyone literally stumpeded and jumped on each other to get to their PC's or that one PC.
I woke up! I had to drink some H2O.
I must have had a smile on my face though. That's good.
I'm thinking as I'm jotting down all this crap of mine how pathetic of me. I'm even dreaming about ordering and being on line now. Man... this is not healthy. This ordering stumpede thing at Screen Archives must have had some psychological, unconscious traumatical impact. The forums have to go. The psychologist needs psychological help. Talking about mass hysteria and persuasion of the masses. I need strong coffee.
Yeah... I'll get the true 'impact' when I receive my bills. Am I feeling guilty?
Noooooo! : - )
I know what the solution is though. Unplug the PC and bury it along with any charge cards but then again... Monday is crawaling up.
Is it not friends?...
CHAAAAAARGE!!!

i gave up, i cannot believe the freenzy. i love all the music and i want in, and want my set... ahh hell, does someone have one for sale besides ebay-whores... now of course if you are a fair ebay-whore, you are not a whore... just want to be fair and clear.
i am joking, this set is so much fun... i can't wait to get mine, i will keep trying. don't tell my wife, she is going to kill me... but this box set is so big you can bury me in it.
rambles of a madman!
happy
ps. see you all at sunday midnight...
happyevil666, February 22, 2008; 10:28 AM

Urs, just an observation from your last post with that guy selling Superman on ebay and they haven't even arrived yet. Looks like he copied and pasted your tracklist from the database on here.
TheSaint.786, February 22, 2008; 10:47 AM

"Looks like he copied and pasted your tracklist from the database on here"
-That's very bad form.
graeme_watson, February 22, 2008; 12:09 PM

I noticed it, but I don't find it that terrible. It's not that I would think of "my" tracklist as copyrighted. After all I did a lot of copy and paste to create it, too. ;-)
handstand, February 22, 2008; 12:50 PM

I suppose you're right there, it's just the principle that the seller is blatantly ripping off the limited information available.
I'm not a fan of people buying stuff to sell later...
It's a way of making money though, but as they are so limited, it means that someone is going to pay much more than FSMs RRP.
As it often says in the back of the FSM booklets:
"If you haven't bought this CD from us, you've probably paid too much"
graeme_watson, February 22, 2008; 12:55 PM

Funny the dream serifiot had about the soundtrack to the Googles. Now that's what I call a film music obsession.
victoravalentine, February 22, 2008; 7:47 PM

... or a film music nightmare wwk.
It's true, I had that 'funny' dream. It was no joke. Can you now imagine on Monday Varese announcing a complete release to this "Goonies" film score music?
That will be too weird!
serifiot, February 22, 2008; 8:05 PM

I´ll buy my box from European sellers...
m.jalava, February 23, 2008; 11:55 AM

Well, now I feel entirely justified buying the supes boxset; nothing really grabs me from the new VCL releases...
