I believe not. Footlight has closed. Tower Records has closed not that they would carry it anyway. Any record stores left in the Big Apple? You suppose Starbucks? Two stores on every block. Naaah! Cyberspace is your best bet my friend.

The upside of buying over the internet is that the world market is at the tip of your fingers (The tip of two fingers for me as I type with one finger from each hand).

The downside of buying over the internet is the fact that people no longer interact. The days of walking into a music shop and having face to face contact with the proprietor gone. To this day I remember buying recordings from Moleman and The Captain at the age of 12.

Then there was Fat Joe who always sat in a chair by the door smoking a cigarette with his trusty German Shepard by his side.

These days you send money instantly at the click on a button without seeing or communicating with anyone and wait for the mailman to arrive. At the most you'll exchange greetings with him.

I remember bringing a copy of "Jayne Mansfield Busts Up Las Vegas" into Fat Joe's shop for a trade deal. I realize now by remembering the look on his face that he had it sold for big bucks immediately after I walked out the door. A copy recently sold on ebay for a couple hundred dollars.

And now I click this button and send this transmission to whomever may be out there. Spaceman on Mars could be scratching his head wondering what the hell it means.

OK, thank you both for your responses. The internet it will be then... :-) I was really only asking
because I'll be in New York in a couple of weeks and wondered if I could pick it up, thus avoiding
the postage costs to the UK!
