Is it time to UPGRADE???

Hi Ton, Erwin and Gang! As much as I enjoy contributing and searching through SC's database, I find it frustrating to look through the old forum threads since there is no way to search for a specific subject without having to look at each one of the individual threads from the beginning...

My eyes start rolling after a while!

I believe it is time to upgrade the way the forum functions by simply adding a forum search engine. Isn't this possible?

Personally, I don't care for smileys and avatars but a forum search engine is long overdue!

Being able to submit a complete image while posting instead of links (that sometimes don't even work until on uses TinyURL) would be an added plus as well.

Also and more important, it would be great if one could respond to an old thread and have that thread jump up on top so everyone who is interested can see that a response has been submitted for that particular thread instead of that response being lost somewhere amongst the 4,700 threads.

These features mentioned would make SC's forum more versatile and more fun to use not to mention the fact that it would bring more responses and perhaps even more forum members, as well as the old forum members that seem to be dragging themselves through cyberspace limbo.

Suggestions/comments on how to improve SC's forum?

Hi Serifiot,

Yes, it is time to upgrade.

In the following weeks we're going to implement a search engine for the forums and implement a sort option so you can see which topics have been posted last or which topics have been added answers to.

I don't know if we are going to do the image submission thingy, but if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Best regards,
Erwin Werkman
