BBC series question
Hello,
I just purchased the film score from the BBC series "Robin Hood" - music by Andy Price and it's pretty good. I have not watched the series yet, Is it worth watching?
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Hi David
I have a friend at work who watches a considerable amount of BBC tv series and she is pretty spot on with her summations of each series that she sees. It was on her recommendations that I watched Life On Mars a cop drama and I am pretty much fed up with cop dramas as they all seem to focus on Islamic terrorism, which one must admit, is becoming quite tedious. Neverthless, and to your point, she highly recommended Robin Hood, I have yet to see it but no doubt I will now with the advent of digital.
I hope that is of some help.

Dunno 'bout the music - I've seen a few minutes of Robin Hood and it looked dreadfull (worse in fact than Costner's lamentable attempt) woefully innacurate, bad acting and a waste of my licence fee. If you want to see what imho was the best TV version of Robin Hood then invest in 1984's 'Robin Of Sherwood' (Goldcrest Films) starring Michael Praed & Ray Winstone - one of the last, great fantasy shows produced in the UK. Beautifully shot, literate and infused with the supernatural. Clannad's soundtrack is a must too.

David. I've only seen a couple episodes, but the dialogue was on the corniness level of an episode of G.I. Joe, and the action was about as believable as Sam Raimi's Xena or Hercules stuff. Still, there's nothing else on TV on weekends, so I'll probably watch it again.
In those episodes, it seemed there was some temp track bleedthrough. Is the album like that a lot?
