Da Hollywood A Cinecitt? By Morricone

Hi, while flicking through You Tube I discovered Morricone had done an arrangement of Bernstein's Summer & Smoke - I found this track on the mother of all Boxes Chronicles which I ain't rich enough to buy or particuarly want...so I went googling to see if it had turned up anywhere else and came across this album: 'Da Hollywood A Cinecitt' which seems to be only available for download. I can't find mention of it on Soundtrack Collector or Amazon etc - anyone have any idea of it's origin?

Thanks
Dominic

			   							Hi Dominic,

The LP "Da Hollywood A Cinecittá" was released in Italy in 1964. It has however not the Summer and Smoke track on it, but a track from HUD by Elmer Bernstein. arranged by Luis Bacalov.
I have posted the LP now on the database. It will take a while before we can see it there. The only Summer and Smoke track is indeed on the Chronicles box that is impossible to find. ( I have it...) And on a compilation ¨La Musica di Ennio Morricone¨ for Readers Digest in 1991. The mastertapes came from RCA Italiana for this box.

Thanks for the info - I guess the listing for the download is either incorrect or Summer & Smoke has been added to the MP3 version. I'll be interested to compare the download album with the official Italian release. Although I'm not a particular fan of Soundtrack interpretations/arrangements, I would certainly buy Morricone's - reasonably priced of course.
