What's the issue with this CD?!?!?
Hi everybody!
Is anybody able to tell me what the problem is with the soundtrack CD to the film "TUCK EVERLASTING"?
As far as I know, we are not dealing with a promo or a limited edition here, but with a regular commercial edition.
If I am right, how can it be so hard and expensive to find a decent copy of this one?
I have seen this one several times on eBay and even on Amazon, but it always fetches prices well over the US$50.00 and the copies for sale are never in mint condition.
Always, and I mean always, there is a problem of one kind or another. Front or back inserts missing; Inserts not missing but with a punched hole or a cut out; Inserts not missing and no punched holes or cut outs but a with a sticker or library mark on them.
As a collector, I have paid high prices in the past for CDs I considered I had to have, but always making sure the items were in perfect shape.
So, once again, what on earth is the problem with this particular item?
Thank you!

Sounds like an example of the curse of the cult CD. I've seen recordings that are not that tough to find go for fat dollars while some other more obscure recordings sell for a lot less. That's the way it goes on Ebay I suppose. Throw a bid down whenever you see it listed and my guess is sooner or later you'll nab it for a reasonable price.
I've placed bids on a particular title several times only to be outbid then suddenly I'll win an auction at a surprising price. Set your top price, stick with it and come what may.
