Concord confirm Indy trilogy reissue

The Concord Music Group has confirmed that they will reissue the soundtracks to Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana jones and the Last Crusade (as we reported on April 2). The soundtracks will be reissued this fall as part of a four-CD boxed set which will also include the soundtrack for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The label hasn't confirmed if the first three scores will be straight reissues of the previously available soundtrack releases, but this is very likely to be the case.

Please excuse my ignorance but I thought Concord was a bootleg label or is that Concorde with an 'e'.

Yep, Concorde is the bootleg label. Has nothing todo with Concord.

So in other words there will be no real reason to get them because there will be nothing new on them.

What we, the fans, want is for the music o be given the appropriate treatment by way of remastered and expanded/complete versions

Surely the success of the Superman boxset warrants a release of a full Indiana Jones.

If the last 30 years of collecting film soundtracks has tought me anything, it's that all good things come to those that wait!

Fingers crossed for expanded releases.

PS - I saw Indy 4 yesterday, I estimate a good 30 minutes of music not on the soundtrack including a few statements of the Grail theme from Indy 3. (A great soundtrack, though the film was a bit of a muddle).

In 20 years time then, we may have a complete Crystal Skull score.
