The Ten Commandments
Sorry if the question has been raised yet: why the entire score of "The Ten Commandments" has never been released? does the original recording exist or has it been lost?

No it was never released in it´s complete form.
There are rumours that Bernstein kept copies of this score, but not Paramount.
And since it´s Paramount a release of the complete score is very unlikely.

Now, there is a complete score to this on 2CDs I believe, but that is a bootleg.

That's right, - it is a bootleg, but the sound is OK.

I have that....and considering it's the ONLY complete soundtrack for the movie (my fave of Bernstein's), the sound quality is actually very good. I doubt there will be anything much better, especially for a 52 year old movie.

Is this 2CD a laserdisc rip? Any evidence of sound effects or dialouge with the music?
