Question

Song about rain but what?

Something to do with rain. Not "singin in the rain" Something else with a great beat played on South Wales station Red Dragon either on 25th or 28th June. I've asked them but they haven't got back to me and I cant see it on their playlist. Part of it sounds like the Llloyds Bank TV ad, but there more to it than that. Was driving at the time both days so didnt pick up title. Never heard it before so figure its newish.

I don't live in the UK so I have no idea about the Lloyds commercial but, off the top of my
head...
Who'll Stop the Rain? - Credence Clearwater Revival
Hard Rain - Dylan or Roxy Music
Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head - BJ Thomas
It's Raining Again - Supertramp

Thanks. I have managed to track it down. I put Lloyds Bank into Youtube search box, then tried Lloyds TSB which is their proper name now. Its based on Eliza's Aria by Elena Kats-Chernin. Very lovely and you may want to stop there as the bank ad has an annnoying voice-over. But if you go on you will find lots of versions of what I heard under the heading "The Journey Continues" Mark Brown and Sarah Cracknell (of St Etienne) have wrapped a song round it. Lyrics a bit naff and video that goes with it contrived, but the voices and orchestration are brilliant, so they are forgiven. The extended version has the best sound, but you don't really need the video. Its a great tune for driving to. Lots of remixes too, but dont improve it & best avoided. Worth watching on Youtube as better versions may arise.
