Just for the Record
I just wanted to pass on to the forum that "Buysoundtrax.com" has for the second time delivered consistant good service in the pass month or so. For me, thay have really turned things around and gone the extra mile to make amends for their past problems.
With a couple of freebie thrown in for good measure, great prices and fast turn around I have been very impress.
Prior to that I was to the point of swearing to never use them again but I thought I'd give them another chance and they pulled threw with flying colours.
I hope they continued to offer this level of service for many years to come.
Well done Mark Banning and the folks at BSX.COM
Best Regards
Steve

Lucky You...Just like the 2CD freebie they were offering. Its been eight weeks and I have not had sight of my order. They also said that three of the CDs were not in their inventory and would send them separately once they had acquired them.
Prior to that however they were pretty good. Not yet started to pull my hair out though.

Yeah, I've recently received an order I set recently from them. I was really surprised, but... I am STILL WAITING for two other orders from MARCH and APRIL!! The last time I reminded them about those orders they sent a very short (and annoying) answer: "Relax". Wrong way.

I wonder if ss.perry works at Buysoundtrax.com?
I had a similar experience with a place called "Forced Exposure" several years ago. Have never placed an order with them since.
A great place to buy from is Dusty Groove in Chicago Ill. Always the best from those folks.

"I wonder if ss.perry works at Buysoundtrax.com?"
The answer to this question is No I don't Work for Buysoundtrax.com.
I did have very poor service over a long extended period of time but as I said, their service for my last two orders was first class and I just wanted the forum to know.
I would hate to see these folks go to the wall especially if they are really trying to get their act together.
Plus: more outlets helps keep the market buoyant and prices competitive.
Not forgetting their efforts to release soundtracks which would otherwise not see the light of day.
Just my humble opinion...
Regards
Steve...

The main problem with BSX seems to be, that their communication is very delayed and their
shipment could be speedier too. Besides these organisational problems , they are very reliable.
One of my recent orders got lost in the mail and they instantly provided a replacement - a
service which I do not take for granted.

Delayed or simply nonexistent. As far as shipments delayed, I have never received a BSX (except for my Harnell cd ordered through Harnell's website) order in due time and I have been an old and loyal customer for some time now not that it should make any difference old or not.
How do you know it got lost in transit David and the supposed replacement parcel was actually a replacement and not the initial one? I am sorry but BSX has made me suspicious.
Still waiting for my order. It has been two months now. I feel for the people who are waiting longer. All I wanted was my LUCKY YOU cd and just a few other titles. Hopefully I will receive my supposed replacement soon via registered air mail as suggested... or not.
It was supposed to go out last Thursday... then yesterday. I hope everything was gathered, packaged nicely and shipped including LUCKY YOU! This Christopher Young cd is what made me place an order to begin with. I still have not been emailed the track number.
I never had orders lost and I have had my share of purchasing frenzies from various retailers around the world since I got myself a PC years back.
I wish them well and having spoken to both Mr. Banning and Mr. Thaxton on numerous occassions over the phone throughout the years in order to coax them and get my stuff, they seem like all-right people but still... where is my stuff damn it? Thaxton seems a bit of a bull shitter (should have been a lawyer) not letting you finish a word but he has found his match.
It might be a better idea if BSX stuck with just producing soundtracks and get out of retail.
I will give BSX one last chance. I am tired. Whenever (...and if) I receive this order I will praise them but now I am disappointed.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, seri! I can perfectly understand you, as BSX's customer
policy is somewhat of a strain. As for my lost CD, I have any reason to believe that it got lost
(e.g. stolen) in transit, as it's unfortunately not the first one that mysteriously dropped in the
Bermuda triangle...

Why not try more reliable and much more customer-friendly outlets like Intrada and Screen Archives?
delerue, September 5, 2008; 11:17 AM

Sounds like good advice, delerue.
Why bother with a company that's likely to take a persons business for granted?
victoravalentine, September 5, 2008; 7:36 PM

Let face it if we buy by buysoundtrax.com, it is just for the promo, goodies and whatever. You have two choices: to buy CDs for 100 or 150 and get a rare item free or to give the same on eBay for just this rare gem.
But you have to give up these guys are bad. I get my order every time about three monthes later, they do not answer email or they only do if you send ten reminders in the same time.
If screen archives or intrada will give us the opportunity to get goodies like that, I will never buy ever by buysoundtrax. So to close the subject, do not buy by soundtrax, if you are not ready to wait a lot of time.
