You're absolutely right this EL CID is worth every penny a truly majestic score. How could the film makers reject certain portions of it? Especially 'Coronation', what a glorious piece of music.

As for Ben-Hur well a brilliant 2cd issue of the original soundtrack was released by Rhino some years ago. It would be difficult to improve on it (likewise for King of Kings). As for Spartacus there is an 'unofficial' 2cd release of the score out there but a new recording with comprehensive notes would be welcome but I don't think that'll be done by Tadlow. Perhaps William Strombergs Tribute Film classics label might do it?
