Friends of Eddie Coyle - Dave Grusin
anybody knows why this (great ?) soundtrack by Dave Grusin hasn't been released yet ?
Dave Grusin's Yakuza has been released long time ago by FSM, is there a chance for this one as well ?

Unfortunately it's a Paramount film, and they're not interested in licensing their older scores for CD release ... yet. Perhaps one of our favourite labels (FSM, Intrada, Varese etc) will overcome Paramount's indifference one day....
I agree that it's a great score, from my favourite Dave Grusin period - the early '70s. A lot of his best music from back then is sadly unavailable.

Hi Catfellah
Thanks for your answer... I always thought of Grusin as one of the most active composer (along with Morricone, Goldsmith, Schifrin and others) in promoting his past work...
I imagined he owns the right for most of his works...
isn't strange that to this day, only few OST from the 70's like Yakuza and the 3 days of the condor have been released on cd ?
