MISSING CDs
I ordered some CDs from Buysoundtrax in July, spending a considerable sum, because they were giving away Lucky You by Chris Young. It is now almost October and I have yet to see my CDs. I have emailed Buysoundtrax on a number of occasions and have now resorted to the 'Dufresne Principle' and I am sending an email daily until they have the courtesy to respond.
Furthermore, they sent have an order stating they are out of stock of some of the CDs I ordered, this was back in July. I haven't even had a response to that nor have I see those CDs. I have paid for them!
I am never ever ever going to buy from this bunch of cowboys again. I rather pay over the odds on ebay. Mark Banning's email address throws emails back so I can't even communicate with the main man. This total lack of commitment to their customers stinks, as believe others have had similar experiences. I can't believe Randall Larson writes for them!? I wonder if he knows he works in the Wicked Wicked Wild Wild West!
Can anyone on here help and give me Mark Banning's email? I would really appreciate it. Or Mark if you're browsing perhaps you could care to answer.

I've stopped using this online store, but not for delays of that length. I ordered a signed copy of Joel Goldsmith's Ark of Truth. It never came. I emailed BS and got a reply. A CD was sent and , of course, it wasn't signed. I was gutted. But, Mark replied and did ask what he could do, to make up for it. I was honest and said that I didnt' know what. But, I won't be gambling on rare soundtracks again from BS.
I ordered Continuum direct from Goldsmith and got it very quickly.
Despite my reservations, I advise you continue to try and contact Mr Banning as I had no trouble with communication.

It is usual to post a comment on FSM forum if someone has a problem with them. And they usually answer very quickly.:-))

I don't buy from sheisters.
If more people rejected the apology routine after they fail to hold up their end of a transaction and filed more complaints when they refuse to fullfill their business obligation, I have a feeling they would get their heads out of their asses quickly.
Seems like a ploy to me, the offering of a free CD in order to attract business then not completing the offer.
Happily I have no experience with them, I hear a lot of people complaining though. I'd take a pass on those half ass punks.
Call 'em what they are. Bang on that door to no end. Ride 'em like donkey's to the glue factory and spread the word to the world.
And don't fall for the apology routine. It's the oldest trick in the book.

I have ordered some cd's more than 3 months ago but still nothing and also no reaction to my Mails I have sent him.
He is only responding when you post your complaints here: www.filmscoremonthly.com
But since a couple of weeks you are not allowed anymore posting there your complaints about BSX otherwise you get banned from that forum....unbelievable, isn't it?!!!!

Although I am not sure if these still work. Good luck, my friend!
iordanman, September 25, 2008; 10:45 AM

The exact same thing happened to me with them.
I ordered a cd which was a preorder at the time, waited three months and emailed them only to be told it was on back order!!
Several other emails I sent went unanswered.
I wont buy from them again either, and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone!!

I've said it before. I had a similar experience with a place called "Forced Exposure". Items listed as sealed sent used, flawed products, no response. Happened twice, never did business with them again. Eventually they sent an apologetic email and offered to ship my next order without shipping charges. Never ordered from them again.
"Dusty Groove" in Chicago is one of the best places to order from. Good place and good people. They run their business in a good honest way.
Ride that donkey to the meat farm.

Hi Iordanman
Mark Banning's email address seems to reject emails quoting 'a permanent error'. The other contact is the one I have been using. Thanks for the info dude.

Hello TheSaint.786,
Sorry to hear about your trouble with BSX. Not sure what your "Cowboys" and "Wicked Wicked Wild Wild West" references are all about But, I have had it with this company as well. I also ordered a bunch of cds from them in July in order to receive the Chris Young Promo. I have yet to receive my entire order from them and one of the cds I have received was in very used condition. I called them directly and complained about my order and all I got was a bunch double talk. I will no longer order from this pathetic company again.
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

Hi David
In the UK when someone professes to be 'of the trade' ie. a plumber, and then doesn't know the difference between a copper pipe and a plastic one, we refer to those tradesmen as 'cowboys'. The wider field, therefore, of their profession hence is known as the 'Wild West'. I do not know the origin of these euphemisms but we use them nonetheless.
BSX, I'm for pulling my hair out. I did not know so many people have had such a bad experience with these guys. I think it may be some sorta ploy whereby they have your money but not the stock and will wait until they have the stock, even if it takes three months, and then send it. To be honest, I dont mind the three month wait, I just expect a llittle honesty that's all. It gives them a lot more credibility and less hostility.

Hello.
All you are telling about BSX sounds familiar to me. I have a couple of pending orders from March and April, and they don't answer my e-mails.
I use to order CDs from all over the world (mainly USA, Europe and Asia), and believe me, I have never found a WORST online store than this.
Keep away from them!
angeldibujo, September 25, 2008; 5:58 PM

Seems like everyone has had the same bad experience with BSX.
I too have had to chase them for CDs that I had ordered months ago. They're really efficient when it comes to charging your credit card - pity that they drop the ball when it comes to fulfilling your order.
My emails typically also get ignored, unless I resort to threats. My most recent tactic was to complain that they had infringed the Federal Trade Commission’s Mail or Telephone Order Merchandise Trade Regulations Rule, which requires merchants to ship ordered merchandise to their customers within 30 days of receipt of an order, or to inform the customer of any expected delays and obtain their consent to the same. That got me a response almost immediately.
You can read more about the Rule here:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/mailorder.shtm
Speaking personally, I too am done with BSX. I think it's unconscionable for a business to take money from its customers, fail to fulfill their orders, and then ignore them for months and expect the customer to chase them for their order.
Having said that, Mark Banning usually does try to resolve these delays, so you should definitely continue your efforts to reach him. I doubt that they have any copies of Lucky You left by now, so don't be surprised if they try to substitute another CD if they didn't keep a copy on hold for you.
Hope everything works out for you!
darylmok, September 26, 2008; 12:51 AM

Soundtrackcollector should start listing all BSX releases as bootlegs as punishment for their shady online activity!
These fools need to get it together.
blind.sentinel, September 26, 2008; 4:40 AM

What i don´t understand is: the problems with BSX are known since this Label/retailer exists. There are complaints about Banning and crew in all forums i know. Why the heck do people always buy from them! I never did and will never do. Also catchers as "Lucky you" won´t persuade me
peter-anselm, September 27, 2008; 8:38 AM

They assume people will be blinded by an offer of something for free. It's a two bit chump tactic if you ask me. I'd like to see them wind up in a boat load of trouble.
