Horror Of Horrors! It's that man again

Oh dear God not another Clint Eastwood score!! Dont get me wrong I like Clint's movies as much as the next guy but keep that man out of the recording studio. Gone are the Heady days of greats employed on his movies such as Lalo Schifrin, Jerry Fielding , Ennio Morrocone, even old Lennie Neihaus was'nt that bad. But for crying out loud Clint leave the composing to the guys who studied the craft. The monotonous orchestral noodlings and endless variation on a theme are soul destroying. When I want elevator music I'll find an elevator!

I've never listened to a Clint Eastwood score. I was surprised to see his name start popping up as composer.

As for Lennie Neihaus, I think that dude is great. A jazz player from way back in the early 50's. Last I checked, he performs every weekend at a club in Pasadina, California.

I agree, the scoring should be left to those who specialize. Why the hell not hire Lalo Schrifin for the job?

Few years ago I was watching an interview with the director of "Rush Hour". He said he nearly had to beg the producers in order to ask Lalo to do the score. The dumbasses considered him too old. Bullshit.

It is a shame that recent films seldom have that touch of class that people like Lalo Schrifin could contribute.

His "Symphonic Impressions Of Oman" from a few years ago is something else.
