HUMBLE PIE

You may recall I recently had a gripe about my CDs not arriving from Buysoundtrax. It transpires, subsequent to receiving an email from Mark Banning, that the postman who delivers our mail, sent the CDs back because he said our gate was locked. The postman (who is a lazy C**t!) often leaves my parcels at the post office and pretends to bring them and leaves a note saying no one answers the door (F****** Liar!). He never rings the bell he just cant be bothered to carry them with him. I can't believe the SOB sent the package back without attempting a second delivery.
The purpose of this post is apologise to the crew at Buysoundtrax as the parcel was sent and it was for reasons above I didn't get it.

Congratulations, TheSaint.786, your problem with BUYSOUNDTRAX is half solved.

I wish my problems with them could be half solved too. After 20 or 30 e-mails, they finally answer and say things like "Relax", "Your parcel is on its way", "We ship it out two months ago", We'll ship it out ASAP", "Your e-mails were going to the SPAM filter", etc...

It's curious, but I have only had problems with this seller. Never with ScreenArchives, Intrada, Amazon (including the Amazon Marketplace), IntermezzoMedia, LodossDistribution, VareseSarabande, LaLaLand, Perseverance, Percepto, ArkSquare, and a great variety of eBay sellers...

However, almost every CD I've ordered from BUYSOUNDTRAX has driven me crazy. Mr. Banning uses to ignore all my e-mails, and when he has answered to any, he has used some of the cliches I've written above. The standard delivery time for my orders from BUYSOUNDTRAX is between 2 months and 1 year and half. The standard delivery time with the other sellers is between 1 week and 1 month (if there is a pre-order item).

Your postman may be a liar, but Mr. Banning and his people are not very serious neither.

I don't think I will order from them again.

Greetings,
Angel

Awhile back, my recordings (usually LP's in 12" by 12" boxes) were delivered by the USPS. The mailman was always too damn lazy to walk the box to the door. He'd drive up and hang the package from the mailbox with a thick rubber band in full view of whomever might happen by. One time, I found the package laying on the ground below the mailbox. I was usually there during the day to grab the package soon after it was delivered so I didn't bother raising a complaint with the fat ass.

I'm always stunned, when I read about all the problems some of you guys have with BSX. I
recently ordered their latest Christopher Young release and it arrived safe and sound - in
Germany - less than two weeks after I had placed my order.

Registered! You go and pick it up yourself.

As far as your story saint... confront the postman or your post office. I doubt it was delivered and sent back but again it's possible. One of the many BSX excuses in addition to the one's posted by Angel.

PS

David...

It seems that with their own BSX releases they are more efficient but again there could be problems with those as well.

BTW, enjoy this one. I have been meaning to get it. The samples sound great!

Angel...

I'm just curious. What titles did you order that they are taking so long to arrive?

Seri,

I spoke to a freind of mine last night who is also a postman he told me that postmen in the UK do that a lot and can easily get away with it because their managers back them up rightly or wrongly. If they didn't they would strike and stop the postal service. They have a very strong union, probably the largest in the UK and strike for no reason.

Even if I did complain and the postman found out about it, he would deliberately F*** with my mail. It looks like he has got me by the balls.

I empathize saint. Having mail gone astray especially the so much anticipated parcels containing our soundtracks can be distressing. If you don't want registered mail, it might be safer if your postman left your parcels at the post office regardless for you to pick up but at least have the courtesy to notify you either verbally or by note.

Xmas is around the corner. A small tip might warm him up a bit and make him be a more responsible postman... at least with you.

Hello...

SERIFIOT,
I had one order from January 2007 and two from February 2007 that never arrived. The CDs were from these labels: Warner, FSM, Varèse (not club), Intrada (club titles) and Milan. After the usual unanswered e-mails, I asked for a cancellation of the orders and a refund of the money. After many many e-mails I finally got a replay. Several weeks later I got the money back. In the meanwhile, one year and a half had passed.

Then I thought that there will not be any problem with the BSX titles. But I'm still waiting for their release of Christopher Young's AN UNFINISHED LIFE: PIANO SKETCHES, which I ordered in March 2008.

You'll think I'm stupid, but I ordered again from them one month and a half ago EL CID (Tadlow), ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER (SAE) and EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS (Varèse bargain bin). Needless to say I'm still waiting.

The latest CDs I've ordered from them are two BSX releases, ONE MAN JURY and SOMETHING THE LORD MADE, one month ago. I suppose this new delay is caused because these two CDs were a pre-order.

Whatever the label is, my orders from them are always complicated. On the other hand, it's curious but when you write them asking for some information about a new CD you are interested in purchasing, they answer almost instantly, but when you write asking about the delay of one of your orders, they never answer the first 10 e-mails. And their favourite replay is: "Your e-mail went to the SPAM filter". It stinks! And of course all of these delayed CDs have been chraged to my credit card.

Greetings,
Angel

That stinks Angel. That is TOO LONG! One should not have to wait this long for their order. You could have ordered EL CID from Silva Screen directly believe it or not. The price is excellent. I don't know if they are still selling it. The shipping charges are always free at least in Europe and their deliveries fast. I got mine a few months back from Silva and the score rerecording is an excellent one!

I have been a long time customer with BSX and have had my share of woes with them as well if that is any consolation to you. I rather not get into the details of things. Even though I have always received my orders sooner or later either in whole or in part with some compensating cd or cd's, it always took lots of emails and international phone calls to coax them and get things moving. BTW, using their Pay Pal option in good faith (if still available) could prove less distressing for their customers in case something goes wrong like in your case.

I must admit that some of their offers are enticing but is it worth the frustration damn it? All these title mentioned, one could order them from other more reliable retailers.

In any case, good luck!

Any business should have there orders shipped in a matter of days. If not they should offer an explanation?

I'd keep on 'em, Angel. Insist that they fullfill there end of the transaction. I would email that place several times a day like clockwork and raise complaints all over the internet.

I can only say once again, "Dusty Groove" in Chicago. A great place to order from. Everytime I've placed an order from them I had the item in my hand within one week. They send an email confirmation when payment is recieved and another when order is shipped. It's not some small operation either. They've been going for years and do a big business.

I'd say to hell with those guys at "Buysoundtrax". I've never done business with them and never will.

Keep raising complaints. Eventually you will force their hand one way or the other.
