84 items and 0 bids, LOL. That should tell ya something there, prices are a bit off ;)

With a little research, every score you have listed can be found for cheaper. Might help to have a more reasonable price or allow market dynamics to establish the price by creating a lower starting price and having people bid.

Either way, good luck.

You very well may have sold that many soundtracks already, but it wasn't recently.

The last 42 most recent listings that have ended there wasn't a single CD sold. You didn't get a single bid on any item. That right there should give you some idea regarding your pricing.

In regards to your Predator CD, the price at SAE isn't a good value to base pricing off of because historically they tend to put substantially higher prices on items when compared to other ways of purchasing a score. A better way to determine the value is check what the price of successful auctions have been recently and non-boot Predator has sold for between $100 and $150 which is a much more appropriate historical value for the item.

I guess I am just assuming you are actually interested in selling some of these CDs and if in fact that is the case then you might want to reanalyze your prices on a lot of items by doing a little more research on market prices for certain items.

Once again though, best of luck with your sale. I hope you are able to sell many of your items, just providing some feedback though so that you might improve your chances of increased sales.

since you think you know what i have sold on ebay (which you do not) i have come to the conclusion that you may want some of the soundtracks i have but simply cant afford them maybe you should get a job that pays real money instead of looking at this forum all day

rjhibbs:
no need to become bitter here, the guy is just giving you some advise on how to increase your sales.

I'm very certain he can "afford" your expensive CDs, but nobody wants to pay more than the estimated value of an item.
Simplified: someone who dearly wants a Predator disc, is not going to buy yours, but wait until someone else sells it for a more reasonable price. Just look at its history on e-bay en draw your own conclusions.

I mean, The Omega Man for $225 ??
Anyone can order this now for $20.95 or less. So your 2nd hand used copy is now worth less than $15, and only of interest to completists.
Being a collector for over 30 years you should know this is the way the market works.

Good luck!

rjhibbs,

Anyone can look up your most recent completed auctions. Granted it is only recent activity which is why I stated you may have very well sold that many cds, but it wasn't on ebay recently.

And I find it funny you would rather attack me and deflect attention rather than reanalyze your offerings when there hasn't been any activity on your listings.

Even if I was interested in any of your items I could do some basic research and find better prices. In fact I have a rather extensive collection that already includes a large percentage of the cds you are trying to sell and I have in fact acquired them for much more reasonable prices.

And you make a rather bold assumption that I don't have a real job that pays real money and that I spend all my time here on the forums. Well, you know what they say about assumptions.....

You can simply look at the number of posts I have actually made here in the past to see that I don't spend all my time here in the forums. In fact I may just have doubled my post count with the number of posts I have in this very thread LOL.

Hey, they are your cds and it is up to you how you decide to sell them, was only trying to help out.

About that original pressing of The Omega Man: why are you selling it for 225.00?
Why, you could easily get 300 million thousand dollars for it! After all, it's way more rare than the recently released remastered version.

You can list an old shoe on ebay for $300.00. Finding someone interested in buying it is another matter.

I was eating a bag of potato chips recently and came across one that resembled my old Italian grandfather who passed away in 1970. To me, it was priceless. To anyone else, it means nothing so I decided to eat it.

Just wanted to say this made my day. Here's a chap who offers exceptional advice &, instead of a Thank You, the chap at the other end comes off with a barrage of I-know-more-than-you-do. Listen to the advice of others & you just may learn something.

It is not wise to attack and insult a fellow music collectors while you try to peddle your CDs and attract sales. The man was just trying to offer advices on your pricing tactics.

Oh dear ....
