Eine Frau In Berlin (A Woman in Berlin) by ZBIGNIEW PREISNER
Has anyone purchased the soundtrack and if so what do you think of it?
Its been awhile since my last visit and post on here and i just discovered that this soundtrack has been out for a little while now and have i been playing the samples from Screen Archives website and it sounds really beautiful and the music makes me want to watch the movie when it is realsed on dvd of course.
Any thoughts? I dont think ive heard a bad score by Preisner yet!

I received this CD in my mail two days ago and have been playing it (on my stereo as well as my mp3 player) repeatedly so far. I liked it from the beginning and it has even kept growing on me. Track 5 "The Gates of Hell" includes the most prominent theme and Preisner repeats it in a few further tracks, though being such a beautiful one, it could have been repeated even more often ;-)
This is obviously a score on the melancholic side and - as seems to be the rule for Polish composers - it is very melodic. I would recommend it highly.

P.S.: On a side note for freaks, this CD comes in a jewel case with rounded corners.

My order is on the way. I ordered "Anonyma" last week - as soon as I have seen it coming... The samples are just amazing, I hope, the rest is the same, as always from Mr Preisner :)

That's a so-called Super-Jewelcase, as CAM uses it for their Jazz releases.
