Question

Women In Love..Georges Delerue

Does anyone know where there is a copy of this theme?
It was on an LP that came out in the 70's by Leferve , Kostalanetz or somesuch conductor of compilation LP's.
Is it on Cd somewhere?
It is a shame it is not on the recently released Cinema Music of Georges Delerue from France....great disappointment to not have the theme.
Any help would be appreciated.

The theme was also included on Ron Goodwin's album "Excitement" released about 1970 ... it was my first contact with the name Delerue.

A truly superb arrangement but, regretfully, despite numerous CD releases of Goodwin's recordings this one theme has not appeared - unless anyone can put me right on this.

There was also a 45t release on United Artists records by Marcel Latour combining 'Women in Love' with the theme from 'Kes'. I remember it had the nude wresting scene on the cover.

There were two releases of the film on LaserDisc, one of which (catalog # MGM/UA ML 101760) had the score and effects isolated on an analog channel. I've never been able to track this down, but this would be one way to get not just the theme, but the entire score.

The score is not that long (given the film length it's quite sparsely scored) but the suggested LaserDisc is probably the best thing to go for and the music is surely worth it.

I may have the track you are looking for on a cd-r. I'm trying to confirm the orchestra and conductor and will advise if it's the one you are looking for. It runs 3:33 and is a lovely piece of music, but it's a record dub.
