Twisted Nerve / Bride Wore Black by Herrmann new CD release
On the Screen Archives site I saw there is a short CD of two Bernard Hermann scores available
for pre-order, 'Twisted Nerve' and 'The Bride Wore Black' on the Kritzerland-label. The first is
claimed to have been mastered from the original stereo tapes (?), the latter is just a vinyl-
transfer in mono from the French EP. I had this years ago on the Cinema Records 8006 LP but
didn't like the scores very much, so I traded it off. However be warned, this will probably create
another frenzy and it will be sold out within hours (as did their previous release of Christmas TV-
scores with music by Herrmann), so if you want this act fast. USD 17.95 - 1200 copies only.

At first glance I thought it looked pretty good. Then I wasn't sure. So it's a bootleg of the Cinema LP with "Hangover Square" removed?

No, it's not mastered from the Cinema Records LP, but probably from the mastertape for the
original Polydor LP (just my guess though). 'The Bride Wore Black' is a transfer from the French
mono EP on vinyl. The warning was about this CD selling fast, so order quick if you want it.

I just pre-ordered a copy a few minutes ago.
