Big Surprise top 5
In opposite to my let down top 5, here is my big surprise top 5. Otherwise you'd all think i
was a depressed collector. These are the ones that hit me by surprise:
5. Steamboy - really good music, no media ventures sound at all; real big orchestral stuff;
great recording too.
4. Journey to the centre of the earth - just like filmmusic should be.
3. Sky captain and the world of tomorrow- one word: BIG
2. Selected suites and themes of Robert Folk - High quality music; the man never had a
change for a 'big' movie
1. Angel - Amazingly beautifull music with melodies that stick to your head and sink to the
heart. An abslute beauty
Unfortenately 'Lair' missed the top 5 by an inch, but is worth mentioning...

1. "Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend" (Goldsmith)
2. "Capricorn One" (Goldsmith)
3. "Remo Williams"
4. "Dances With Wolves" -- which was a cold-buy purchase; I had never heard a note or seen the film at the time.
No number 5 at this time.

Hello,
I bought all of the following scores without seeing the films or reading any reviews and I really think the music is top notch.
"All the Pretty Horses" - Mart Stuart
"The Old Man and the Sea" - Bruce Broughton
"One Night With the King" - J.A.C. Redford
"East-West" - Patrick Doyle
"Yellowstone" - Bill Conti
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.
