REMEMBER THE SONG "VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR", ANOTHER COULD BE "INTERNET KILLED THE MAGAZINES" ! I LEARNED YESTERDAY THAT STARLOG AFTER 33 YEARS GOES THE SAME WAY OF MY OTHER FAVORITE MAGAZINE; FILM SCORE MONTHLY !! SAD...
BY THE WAY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS (let's see, since 1983, 26 years ?), ANYBODY KNOWS WHY THESE SCORE ARE NOT OUT YET ? SILENT RUNNING, his only score, a true original , (PETER SCHIKELE), MURDERERS ROW, one of my top ten, (SCHIFRIN), THEY STILL CALL ME TRINITY , one of the best Italian scores, i have it on lp but the theme on cd is not the original, maybe lost ? (DE ANGELIS BROTHERS), A SHOT IN THE DARK, not enough music ? (MANCINI); AND THE SAINT AND THE PERSUADERS TV SCORES WOULD BE PERFECT !!! MAYBE INTRADA AND DIGIT MOVIES WILL COME TO THE RESCUE. LETS BRING "FIRST TIME ON CD SCORES" AND TAKE A BREAK FOR "ALREADY ON CD FOR A WHILE". HOW MANY VERSION OF ONE SCORE IS AVAILABE, WE ARE NOT GOING TO BUY ARE COLLECTION OVER AGAIN !!!

I just Googled up the news, and you're wrong....it's only TEMPORARY.
Read this:
“It is also at this time that we announce the temporary cessation of the current run of Starlog as a print magazine,” the announcement said. “After 33 years, and considering the present state of the economy, we feel it’s time for a major revamp and will be temporarily discontinuing publication while the model and redesign of the magazine are contemplated and executed.”
The Starlog Website will continue, and Fangoria will continue to be published. The company has also announced that it will soon begin offering digital editions of the entire run of Starlog magazine. It has been unable to offer back issues since a Kable News warehouse fire in 2007 destroyed its entire inventory of back issues.
