Question

Original or Fake 'Fright Night' score

Hello there,

I don't really know where to turn with my question. So, if this is the wrong place, I would like to apologize in advance.

I'm a huge fan of the 80's vampire movie Fright Night and was always looking for the score.
A few weeks ago, I was able to find it on eBay. Well, I took my chance and bought it. The seller, who was from Italy, claimed it to be 'factory sealed', 'brand new' and, of course, 'original'.
Well, it was neither factory sealed nor brand new as I could see by the scratches on the cd cover.
The booklet says that the score is for promotional use only.
The thing is, that when I looked at the cd, there was the url of some Italian website printed on the inner margin.
The seller claims that she bought the cd's (she seems to have an endless supply of the score) in Japan (Private Records/Reflex Records).
The url of that Italian website, which is printed on the cd is www.produzionecd.com. I don't speak Italian, but the website seems to offer some sort of service for people to print images on cd's.
I wrote that person an e-mail, claiming that she's selling burnt copies of that soundtrack on eBay. She denies it.
PayPal now wants me to prove that I'm right with my allegations.

My question is now: Does anyone have the score from 'Fright Night' and does it also have that mysterious Italian url printed on the cd?
I for one think, that it's kind of obvious, that the cd is not original, but a burnt copy. After all, the seller is from Italy, too.
Can somebody help?

fake, it has many different versions. but it was only released in 1985 on album (LP) and cassette. the score part that floats around is i think ripped from the vhs years ago... i bought a version from japan that looked real from ebay about ten years ago and paid way too much...

so the answer is "fake", unless someone tells us different!

happy

Under 'Song Trivia' the site http://www.fast-rewind.com/music_frightnight.htm says that there were indeed cds pressed in Japan, which include the 10 soundtrack songs and the 18 instrumental tracks. My cd also has the soundtrack songs plus the score tracks.
So, the question still is, if the cd is fake, because of that Italian url printed on it and not because of the score being on cd.
But thanks for your answer, anyway :-D

According to this discussion only very very few Reflex CDs exist.
