Nero Veneziano (Pino Donaggio) release problem
I just got the Vivi Musica cd release of Pino Donaggio's Nero Veneziano score but a lot of drop outs occur in one or the other channel when playing it. Have tried two different players with the same result.
Did I get a faulty disc or was the recording made just this flawed ?
I can see a lot of fine scratches on the disc (which I bought used) can they explain these dropouts?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Søren

Hello.
I can't confirm it because I haven't got this CD, but some time ago I read something regarding this was a very poorly recorded soundtrack with some kind of failures. I can't remember what these failures were, but I'm afraid something wrong happens with this recording.
I hope someone owning the CD will answer your question with more accurate information.

Unfortunately the sound quality does have problems. I had posted some time ago the same question. Other forum members responded having the same problem with their cd. It's a shame because it is a good score. Perhaps one day a flawless sounding release will become available.

Shame on me for not searching before asking a question I just found your post serifiot .....
Well it is shame for it is a damn fine score and with a fantastic cover. Hope that GDM or Digitmovies will push this one out in a better version in the future.
Thanks both for your quick answers, very much appreciated :)

No shame avatardk! What SC desperately needs (among other things) is a forum search engine!!! Where is the forum search engine Ton I thought you guys were working on?! Is it in the works still or has the idea been tossed out the window? Just enquiring.

I was wondering myself about the drop-outs, but I love this score so much that I didn't really care.
I'd pick up a remastered edition in a heartbeat, though.

Same here: bought this version + can't wait for a better sounding one (from Digitmovies or Beat Records or whatever!)
