Cannonball run
i bought the cd THE CANNONBALL RUN on ebay 2 weeks ago. I never saw it before and in 1981 there was no cd. My question is: could it be the one listed as Warners with the number HS 3580 ? The one i have has no number and no label ! Maybe it was included in a video or a videodisk box like the LOST WORLD, the EXORCIST scores ?

CANNONBALL RUN AWAY FROM IT
I forgot to say that there is a version of the cd with a different cover (same as lp) but they say its a cd-r. Somewhere on Google the same cd is on sale for $ 17,00 ! Don't ask how much i paid mine. By the way, i have seen it yesterday again on ebay by the same guy and its suppose to be one of the rarest soundtrack ever !!! hum !

What is the content on your CD (or possible CD-R)? Any possible score (if so how many tracks and how long is those tracks)?

I never heard of a Warner release without label and number. Not even if it came along with a
DVD or VHS. Even their promos (FYC) come with a label.

To my knowledge, this soundtrack has NEVER been officially released on CD, period. I believe the CD listed in this database is most likely non-existent, and the one you purchased a homemade pirate LP transfer.

You most likely have the same copy as me which fortunately (for me anyway) I purchased several years ago for about £5 off Ebay.
It's a good vinyl rip. Although I believe it might be incomplete. When I was remastering my copy I noticed that on the fade of "The Cannonball Run" by Chuck Mangioni there's some fragments of dialogue left. I've never heard an original vinyl though so I can't be sure.
I have only ever seen what I believe was one official copy on Ebay, sometime last year and it went for over $150 dollars. The same seller also had the fan club edition of Smokey and the Bandit up at the same time.
