James Horner's House of Cards Unreleased
I am by no means a James Horner fan but upon viewing the movie House of Cards, I find his score tender, touching, affectionate and overall quite effective. Unfortunately it was never officially released on CD as a separate score and I wish it were.
Horner fan or not, are there any other unreleased James Horner's compositions that you would like to see "officially" released ?

There are a few Horner titles I'd like to see officially released, but if I had to chose one, I think it would be TESTAMENT (1983), a really beautiful, intimate and dramatic score.
On the other hand, I can't still believe there is not a proper release of THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS (apart from the downloadable version, which is not something I like).
Other Horner scores that may deserve a proper CD presentation are: WOLFEN, DEADLY BLESSING and THE HAND from his B horror movies period, and THE DRESSER, HEAVEN HELP US and VOLUNTEERS from his prolific (and in my opinion highly interesting) 80's period.
And yes, I consider myself a James Horner fan...

I'm hoping to see an expanded score to Star Trek 2

With regards to Volunteers, I have heard that the tapes are missing. Anybody know any truth to this?

House of Cards would make a great release fom Intrada. Hopefully they can continue releasing these Horner gems.
